Hey everybody,

Totally stoked to be here with you today!

Get ready for an absolutely AWESOME video created
by Adam Steer.  You’re going to really feel a unique burn
when you do this exercise.

It’s sort of like a rotational plank/push up combo,
with a little hot sauce mixed in there… definite recipe
for fat loss success & general bodyweight conditioning.

…well, that’s my opinion at least…

I’d like you to do 10 reps of this exercise, rest 60 seconds,
and then do 10 more reps.  Write your experience below,
and we’ll both be by to comment and answer any of your
questions as they come up.

What do you think?  Did you try it?

enjoy :-)

have a great day,

Kareem

Pedro Hernandez

this is a killer pushup. Even by doing Dr. K’s pushups, this is hard.thanks for sharing.

Rylee Jo

Wow, I love it! I’m definitely adding this move to the pool!

Thanks so much for sharing with us!

rj

WoW
That movement feels fantastic and really does shake things up from head to toe. Really felt the core get involved. Thanks for sharing. John

Kym Hutcheon

Wow, very cool. Love how you make it look so fluid, Adam.

Had trouble with it myself, though. Mainly I think due to problems with wrist, and maybe elbow, rotation. Got anything simple for that?

Cheers!

Great video Adam. I’ve sent a handful of clients to your home study version of your workouts and they love them. Everything has such a positive impact on building their core – and their results have been extremely positive.

Keep it up!

- Todd

Nazier

This looks like the next big thing for me as far as push ups go. Definitely worth adding tot he pool.

a real good exercise never seen this befor and its hard i really like it thanks

George

Dr K. WOW – looks simple but it kicked my butt! Great stuff!

Loved this! Definitely feeling it in my triceps and core as well. Thanks for the vid with the explanation and slow-mo shots…definitely helped with technique after watching that a few times.

Gilles

Hi Adam,
Awesome ! !
As usual, as original as it is effective.
Among other things, you truly have a way of reviving old school exercise.
In The Name of All CST-North fans,
HUGE, HUGE THANKS.
Gilles, addicted for life

Hi Adam, super cool variation on the pushup theme. I particularly love the way you turn it into a fluid movement, almost rollling from side to side, while keeping your core engaged. Keep them coming!
Thanks Tom

There is obviously a lot to know about this. I think you made some good points in Features also.

savi sandhu

Great video. The scewing pushup rules. Its helped my punching more power and helped me develop a better, and more fluid clinch. Thanks for posting this.

Cristiane

Wow, this is a definite killer!! I’ll have to stick to the knee version for a while though. Great stuff, keep it up!!

Thanks :)

Terra

very cool exercise! Can’t wait to incorporate it into my routine, thanks!

Ricardo

Excellent and very therapeutic! Feels good!!!

Sarah

Loved this move….you of course make it look so simple, lol! but I tried it and plan to put it in my workout and get fluid with it.: )

Pedro Hernandez

Hey Pedro. Glad you like it. The interesting thing about this variation is the mix of strength and coordination / timing.

Rylee Jo

Hey Rylee. Cool… Let us know how you the integration goes with your training.

john

Hey John. Yeah, it’s an amazing core exercise. Really makes you integrate the core stability with dynamic movement.

Kym

Hey Kym. You could start by modifying the exercise for now. I often use the “Alternating Forearm” push up for this. Basically, it starts the same way as the screw press, but you simply bring the forearm down to the ground and then reverse the movement right away to come back to the start position before switching sides.

At the same time, you can start working on your elbow and wrist mobility. Here are a couple videos I did on that. (originally for desk jockeys – but applicable to anyone).

Hey Todd. Thanks for having the trust in us to send your clients our way. Appreciate it and glad they are getting benefit!

Nazier

Thanks Nazier! Let me know how they work out for you in your training.

steve

Hey Steve. Lot’s more where that came from… :-)

George

Simply sophisticated. That’s the name of the game. Glad you liked it George.

Janalyne

Awesome! Glad it was easy to understand.

Gilles

Hey man, thanks! Always appreciate you being around…

Tom Mortensen

Hey Tom. Yeah, this is one of my favourite movements. It’s almost hypnotic when you get a good rhythm going.

savi sandhu

Yeah, this movement has a lot of practical carryover into sports. Thanks Savi!

Cristiane

Thanks Cristiane. Actually, I thought I’d filmed the version from the knees. But when I went to edit the video it hadn’t taped… Sorry about that!

Terra

Awesome. Let me know how it goes.

Ricardo

Yeah, it really gets the joints moving through a cool range of motion, eh?

This is amazing! I’m going to have to stick with the knee version for a while though. I like how it helps with coordination too – had to kind of think that through, but your explanations and the slow motion were so helpful! Thanks!

Federico

It looks easy, but it is really hard!!! What a great exercise!! I am going to incorporate it to my training!! Thanks guys

Luv it! You can only do so many pushups before getting a tad bored, so this is perfect, guys. Thank you for your creativity. Kristina Powell

Hi Adam and Dr. K,

That was harder than I expected. Very cool exercise. I had never seen that push-up variation before and I will add it to my “arsenal.”

Thanks for sharing!

~ Pete

Sinisa

I showed this in the gym today, one of the personal trainers was curious and told me he had never seen anything like it before. As I was grunting while doing the screw press, he said “that looks hard”, no kidding :) . Great exercise, I thought I had all the pushup variations down but this is a new level. Now I see that my forearms need more work, thanx guys.

Troy

Wow, looks like a great variation. I can feel the burn and I havn’t even tried it yet!

Thanks Adam/Kareem for the new move.

Larry

Really cool. Nice flow and feel. Pretty tough on the shoulders.
Question; how big a difference does it make if you start with your hands not so wide and your elbows more at your side, like a tricep push-up you can then do the same movement without moving the elbow into your center before you start the movement. To me this seems to reduce a bit of stress on the outer elbow (sorry no fancy anatomy terms), a bit different weight distribution because you don’t get that elbow as far into your centerline.

Hi there,

With Dr.K’s pushup variations where elbows are to be kept tucked in to the sides I found both my elbows clicked on all variations of the pushup, as I normally hold them wider out. Any comment on this?
As I’ve got Adams BER programme I was familiar with this screwing press one (my elbows don’t click on these) but even so 10 and another 10 were too much for me – it was good to know I can work up to it using the knees.

Thanks for the great info.

Daryl

Thanks Guys, please keep it coming, Love it.

Kym Hutcheon

Thanks a lot Adam. I really like the videos for elbow and wrist mobility. Great for someone like me who spends way too much time typing.

I also tried the finger one and was kind of amazed by how difficult the coordination was: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t9hB9tZumG8&feature=related

Thanks

Hannu

Awsome, I tried that, and now my arms are really really sore.
Keep these videos coming Adam.
