Rylee Jo

Thanks for the Vince info and the workout tips!

PS. I\’m so jealous of the green fields and birds singing in the background–it snowed here in NM yesterday!

Diane

I’m so glad there are people like you and Vince and others who are sincere and good. Thanks…

Brian

great Info please keep it coming, Thanks

Keith

Information on the super sets and giant sets was helpful. Thanks!

steved

great info there is so much to take in i am having trouble comming to terms with it all to make it work for me!I am in general a slow starter i like to read through things and ensure i understand everything befor i commit to something but i still feel your program will work for me and prevent the injuries that regularly seem to hinder my progress thanks kareem..

MJ

Thank you so much Dr. K for the info. I am really impressed by your dedication and motivation.

MJ.

PS: I really love your DEFL. It’s nothing short of AMAZING!!!

Frank

Great stuff going to try the super set of 3 today. Thank you for the info.

Amena

Hi Kareem

I am just hoping that you are not going to encourage us to buy Vince\’s exercise system, so far I have purchased Fit yummy mummy, Mike Geary, Roman\’s Fitness, Turbulence training and yours and I bought these through their recommnedation, but to be honest with I have had enough of this because if your system is so right, as they all say they are why are they trying to get us to buy others, I will tell you why because they are getting some kind of commision from it, I\’m not doubting that these others are no good, just get annoyed that just as I\’m trying to get my head around one, Im then told about another way, thorugh some othjer fitness expert. Please don\’t do this, as all this info gets very confusing!!!!!!!!!!

kareem

Hey Amena,

Thanks for the comment!

Did you have a chance to watch yesterday’s video?

Of course I’m going to recommend Vince’s program, but you have to listen to what’s right for you. Qualifying one program doesn’t disqualify others. Yep, DEFL is a great resource for the rest of your life. You can learn how to build pretty much any workout you want. You can also get amazing results by following the ones I’ve created for you.

That said… Vince is THE guru for muscle. This week, I’ll be explaining to you different muscle building strategies that work exceptionally well, and I’ll also be introducing you to some of the phenomenal work that Vince does. Along the way, you’ll either see that this makes sense for you or it doesn’t. But please keep in mind that someone else may want this in their exercise library and plan on using it within the next year.

Sometimes it’s great to get good deals while they’re around and then be ‘stoked up’, so to speak.

That said, make sure you don’t get stuck, Amena – be sure to really just focus on implementation. Buying another program doesn’t mean starting another program for you right now. The most important thing you can do is charge.
:-)

kareem

You’re welcome Frank – let me know how it goes…

kareem

You’re welcome MJ!

Glad you’re lovin’ it – sure poured my heart into Double Edged Fat Loss.

kareem

You’re welcome Steve!

Take your time… think through examples. you’ll make sense of all of it soon. I agree that understanding something before doing it is very helpful and leads to better compliance.

kareem

You’re welcome Keith!

kareem

You’re welcome Brian – thanks for stopping by!

kareem

You’re welcome Diane. We’re glad to have you around as well :-)

I can\\\\\\\’t believe how much content this program has. I am trying to get commited but I am not there yet but it is certainly not due to what you are providing. I hope soon I will be able to post my full commitment to your program

Martha

Hi Kareem! Thanks for the video! Always great to get some of your contageous enthusiasm! (The weather sure IS nice here on the East coast!)

kareem

That’s a great goal Bill!

Let’s do it!

kareem

That’s a great attitude John – one that will win – keep it up!

kareem

My pleasure Butch – take your time, make it a positive experience, but once you commit, decide on finishing from the start, ok?

kareem

Hey Dr. K.,
Great info as usual. Also glad to hear the personal stuff as it is the right thing to do. Keep up the good work as I intend to do the same for myself. I wanted to let you know that your and Vince\’s honesty are truly appreciated and I hope you maintain that integrity throughout your life\’s endevours.
Best regards always,
Bill S.

nelson

great information Dr.Kareem, i feel more motivated to keep doing what im doing, glad i meet you.

Tye

Sorry if I missed it, but was this info for increasing muscle growth/size or was it for strength building only?
Again sorry if you said it and I just didnt hear or get it.
Thanks

Kareem! Dude, unbelievable,

Eloquent, Bad ***, Unstoppable, Compassionate, Empathetic, High Energy. I’m in a coaching program with Vince’s and these words describe him and you both. Having you guys as role model’s is the most valuable thing for our online business and our life in general, thanks so much for all that you give.

Love the science too, can’t forget your passion even though you communicate in simple easy to understand language as well. Killer!

Andrew – working hard to master it like Dr. K with http://www.realnutritionforsuperkids.com

Dr. K …

Every time I listen to you speak, whether it’s via these videos, or some audio, I am not only motivated to push past my current limitations … but I am also challenged to be a better human being. Clearly, your heart and your spirit are into the core paradigm of helping others achieve a more balanced, complete and healthy life. Words are truly inadequate, DK … but for what little worth they have, I hope that the following words convey the depth of appreciation in my own heart and spirit … Thank You. I have no doubt that you are part of the answer the Lord has given me to my own prayers. Thank You.

Joel

Kareem,
I just wanted to let you know how this double edge fat loss has impacted me. First off-unfortunately on day #2 while doing lunges incorrectly (using way to much quads-especially rectus femoris and to much illiopsoas) on my lunge I heard and felt a pop and then experienced an electric shock type sensation down my left thigh upper anterior to lower lateral no going past the knee. I was concerned that would be the end of my exercise for a few days but with ice, stretching, and proper form (learned the hard way) I have been able to continue the program. This incident did worsen what was previously a mild case of meralgia paresthetica I have had there for a couple years but that is improving also.
Two days ago on my first of 2 days “off” I did 30 easy miles (heart rate in fat burning zone and not pushing hard enough to consider it anything other than a recovery workut) on my road bike. Despite taking it easy i found i was averaging close to 20 MPH! The hip flexors on the injured side did tighten up until I stretched them after.
Yesterday it was gorgeous out so I headed to the beach with the surfboard for my first session since the fall. My “pop” to stand up on the board was effortless! My balance was great. Usually it takes a few sessions to get back in the groove but I started better than I finished last fall!
I have been exercising regularly for years and I don’t know how much fat I’ve lost but the functional improvement from the workouts and the mobility warm up I am doing at the beginning of each workout is incredible.

peggy

Dr k, I really am enjoing DEFL. You really keep me motivated with your enthusiasm. I feel this is an excellent program for a 53 year old. As far as Vinces program, I think it would be very good. I Don’t know if I’m really ready for that but I may purchase it anyway. I also have Mike Geary’s program and have found many useful pieces of information. thankyou for all of your hard work, I really feel like I chose something exceptional.

Dear Kareem;

I have been struggling with severe pain in my hands, arms, shoulders and neck for over 15 years now. I love the posture exercises that you gave me as they help with some of the inflamation and pain in my neck, shoulders and arms. However, I still have extreme pain in my hands, and although I love all of the tips given above it requires extreme strain on my hands and wrists which means extreme pain for me.
Could you please give me some tips for these areas, and how I might utilize some of the exercises to reduce inflammation and pain in my hands, and wrist.
In addition, could you please demonstrate the exercises that you mention in the video. I am fairly new to the workout sessions, and the last thing that I want to do is cause injuries from doing exercises wrong.
Sincerely,
Wendy Brandt

Fernando

Im so glad that i found this. Anything can be accomplished as long as i have your guidance and support.

P.S I envy the nice weather there. Here in Singapore, its been raining everyday and it would be scorching hot if it isnt raining.
Tks Vince and Kareem for the help

Rommel

Nice Work!, Thanks for the info. I have send you an email with regards to the 30 days trials that I would like to cancel my 30 days trial period. Please check it out and send your acknowledgement. Thanks again.

Kris

Thanks for the info Dr. K. I’m beginning to understand what you and Vince are talking about as you explain muscle building and super sets to someone who has never done either before.

kareem

That’s great Kris!

Yeah… this stuff can sound overwhelming at first, but just concentrate on one new term per day. There are only so many… you’ll know what you’re doing really soon :-)

kareem

Hey Rommel,

You’re all set. Thanks!

kareem

Hey Wendy,

thanks for sharing – sorry to hear bout your pain. It sounds like it may all be coming from your neck. I’d have that evaluated and then take things from there… In general, if the pain is originating in the neck, you’ll have to take the tension off the nerves there before the exercise will help eliminate inflammation.

Please go see your doctor and follow up with a possible EMG – good luck!

kareem

Hey Peggy,

You’re welcome!

Glad to hear that you’re enjoying things so much – I appreciate your compliment.

Vince’s program is definitely the best out there of it’s kind – you’ll learn some more about it in the next few days and we’ll make sure it’s a good fit for you before you make any decisions… sound good?

kareem

Hey Joel,

Thanks for this excellent comment!

It’s true… we always have to strike a balance between intensity and injury… but take a look at the result!

Nice work – I love hearing how this impacts your everyday in such an amazing way!

Keep up the great work ethic and dedication Joel – you’re sure to get amazing results!

kareem

glad to meet you too, Nelson.

kareem

Hey Tye,

This will definitely work for increasing muscle size. Thanks!

kareem

Hey Andrew,

You’re welcome!

Thank you for all of these kind words – that really means a lot.

working with Vince was a smart choice – I look forward to watching you soar!

have a great day,

Kareem

kareem

Wow, Trip!

Thank you. I don’t know if I’ve ever received such a warm compliment in my life before.

Sincerely, thank you for allowing me to help you in this way and for opening your heart to me. I am here to help.

to your success,

Kareem

marilyn

I am just so blown away by the wealth of information available in the members’ area of DEFL I just haven’t the words to tell you how appreciative I am. I appreciate your knowledge, generosity and enthusiasm and have already learned many useful concepts to apply to my workouts. I’m telling everyone how wonderful you are, Kareem. Thank you!

Terri

Thanks for the info and honesty. It is somewhat rare these days. Love the videos.

Terri

Marylin Sanchez

Hi, Kareem:

As always you really deliver! Thanks for your earlier advice about making sure I am ready for this program. Either way, I can always have the program if I find it interesting and keep it till I am ready! Keep up the great work!

Kathy

Hopefully we’ll get the 100 comments by the end of the day. (I think Easter weekend may have slowed them down.) I hope so because these extra videos are very helpful. Thanks!

Jenn

This Sucks!!!!
I will explain. On Dec. 3rd I broke my wrist really bad while snowboarding and I have had to have two surgeries. Four months later, I still can not doing anything and do not have full range of motion yet. I see all of these great work outs and ideas and want nothing more than to begin incorporating them into my routine and begin using my personal training cert. with all this new info, but can’t. For all of you out there who can workout, take advantage of it, you have no clue how lucky you are to be able to do this. My cross to bear…..
Thanks for all of the great info Kareem, can not wait to use it.
God bless,
Jenn

Kyle

Kareem,
Great info so far in these videos and in DEFL. I’m about 2.5 weeks into the DEFL program, and am noticing great results in stamina, intensity, and posture. Haven’t been monitoring the fat loss too closely yet, but I get the feeling that the improvements in these other areas are preparing my body to be a fat burning machine!
On another note, I’m looking forward to when you get the clickbank situation fixed up so I can add the Premium part of DEFL to my workout repertoire.
Thanks for the great info, and keep it coming!

Kyle

kyle

hey kareem,

i have been working this reciprocal innobition concept into my work outs and have noticed a big difference and recovery and strength. I am going to be starting the DEFL program in a week when my little brother get here for so i have a partner to push me. I am looking forward to more videos to come

Charles

thank for all the information! It’s good to know who you’re dealing with :)
Ok, I’m about to watch a webinar tonight. I really like learning more and more about all those topics related to fitness, muscle building, posture and all that.
Keep posting great videos ;)

Charles

Sherry

I just want to get lean and fit. So in my thinking I don’t need a program that builds muscle and size. also if I’m part of the inter circle won’t those new programs keep me on track.

Thank you for all the info and your hard work to get me to work harder than I EVER thought I could.

Sherry

Martha

Hi Kareem,

Can’t wait to see what Vince has in store for us!

Martha

squeaker_al

I have to admit after reading Vince’s information, that while I don’t fall into the cry baby group, neither do I fall into the gung ho group either. Maybe after a few months with DEFL and CYWT then I can get with Vince’s program. It sounds wonderful, but I am afraid that it will sit on the shelf for a bit. I am just getting so I can get all the way through the DEFL warmups. I hope one day to be in good enough shape to tell Vince “TO BRING IT ON!!!” but for now, I will keep working my way through DEFL. (Hey, I can almost run up a flight of stairs again, so on flight at a time. ;-)

Chris

I used to traverse soccer goals like the ones in the background. I would start on one side, pull up into a bent arm position and then shimmy my hands down the top until I got to the other side. It’s really hard and a lot like some of the obstacles on Ninja Warrior.

Lee

Thanks Dr. K!

kareem

that’s a pretty awesome way to work out Chris!

I love hearing stuff like that – I’ve been thinking about filming a playground workout for you guys – anybody interested?

kareem

Way to go Squeaker!

That’s great! Set goals and reach new levels.

It’s the only way to be…

kareem

hey Martha,

You’re going to love it!

kareem

Hey Sherry,

Great question!

You’re definitely on the right track. Vince’s stuff is more gym-based, so I’m not sure its perfect for you…

But it’s about the best reference on muscle you can ask for, and it’s always good to have more than one perspective…

kareem

you’re welcome Charles!

Let me know how it goes and if you have any questions… also, be sure to check out the next video…

speak soon,

Kareem

kareem

awesome Kyle!

Glad you’ve been taking action – these principles are based off of good science, so I’m glad that you’re seeing the results already. Keep me posted when your brother arrives and you get things going… I’m glad that he can do this with you! That’s awesome!

kareem

Glad you’re loving it Kyle!

kareem

bummer…

sorry to hear this.

Why not exercise around the injury??? (and be safe)

Have you watched the Exercising Around An Injury webinar yet?

kareem

great Marylin – you’re welcome.

stay motivated – i’m lovin it!

-k

kareem

You’re welcome Terri. Thanks for joining us!

kareem

You’re welcome, Marilyn.

You just made my day.

(and thanks so much for your referrals – that’s very meaningful to me)

Per

Already owning Vinces NNMB (which I haven\’t done since I\’m on a fatloss quest at the moment, currently taking a break from YSPQ and doing DEFL for a while) I don\’t think I\’ll get MYM this time around. I\’ll consider incorporating the giant set where it may be suitable though.

Thanks for the tweak-tips!

SteveB

Hi Kareem,

A hypothetical question…

DEFL recommends 4 workouts per week for phenomenal results. What if a person can\’t manage that. Say (for whatever reason – not important) they can only do 1 workout a week (so in week 1 they do Workout 1A, week 2 they do Workout 1B, etc etc). Will the results still come but take 4 times longer…or do you see it another way? Maybe the person would have to do Workout 1a for 4 weeks before moving on to 1b for the next 4 weeks?

I\’m not recommending it, merely interested!

Keep up the good work and thanks,
Steve

Craig

always useful info. and good to hear that you genuinely want to help. thanks.

Anna

Thanks Dr. K,

I really appreciate you taking the time to make videos and not just leave us hangin to figure everything out on our own!

Anna

Ray

Hi Kareem,
What you’re saying about how to incorporate a program like Vince’s makes a lot of sense. I’m in week 3 at the moment and haven’t lost any weight, but I’ve toned up a ton and feel great.
My question is about the off days. Should I run during the off days? I’m planning on doing a half marathon in June and need to get going. Right now I’m just doing the DEFL program, and would like to add Vince’s muscle builing in as well. Running is the only way I’ve found to drop that last 10 pounds. I’m 6’3 and 200 at the moment, but look my best at 190. Please advise on how to put that all together.
Thanks for the great stuff,
Ray

peggy

playground workout sounds cool to me.

kareem

Hey Ray,

Great question!

I think running on the off days is a great plan, but I’d wait until after month 1. Let your body build into all of this energy system training, and then scale back the intensity of your workouts slightly and start running. Make sense?

kareem

you’re welcome Anna :-)

kareem

you’re welcome Craig!

thanks for stopping by…

kareem

Hey Steve,

Interesting question…

well, that gets back to some is better than none and momentum counts. Cumulative exercise (within a day) has 90-95% the benefit of doing it all in one bout. For example, doing 7 five minute exercise circuits will get 90-95% the effect of doing 35 minutes straight.

That said, 1 workout a week is certainly much better than zero workouts per week. But our bodies crave more movement than this. We need to move more than this…

kareem

You’re welcome Per :-)

Vic

Hi Dr K. Thanks for providing all this info for the rest of us! It’s all very enlightening.

P.S. DEFL is awesome :)

Nelson

Thanks for the information ! Everything is really helpful !

P.S. DEFL is an amazing program, every workout is so intense ! :)

SteveB

Thanks for the quick reply Kareem (re exercising once per week instead of 4).

I guess what I was wondering – but didn’t explain very well!- was if the benefits to be derived from DEFL (or in fact any exercising really) were linear i.e. the benefits of training once a week for 4 weeks = the benefits of training 4 times per week for 1 week.

I personally don’t think so (in the DEFL model metabolism will be constantly raised wheras in the ‘once a week’ model there would be several/many days where metabolism is allowed to slow) and, of course, I definitely agree with your comment about us needing to move more often than that!
Thanks again,
Steve

Angi

Heading into week 4 of the workouts….woot woot!!!! I’m loving the information overload….have watched several of the prevention videos, webinars and listened to a couple of audios. Highly recommended. I’ve gotten so much more than my money’s worth. Now if I could just get rid of my late afternoon food/sugar cravings.

Angi

Ed

Great info. I’d really be interested in more Muscle Building exercises. Once I get my body fat percentage down below 10%, I want to start building muscle.

Ray

Thanks for the quick response, Kareem.
Like everything else, it makes sense. I’ll finish phase 1 and get started running after week 4.
Thanks for this information. I’m excited and really enjoy the balance aspect of your program.
I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been on the roller coaster
of getting in and out of shape because of injury. (shoulder from lifting or hip and plantar problems from running) I have a feeling it’s going to be different this time.
Best Regards,
Ray

John

Thanks kareem, your a real genuine bloke. I cant help but notice that there are thousands of views on your blogs, but they cant make an effort to leave a simple comment. I guess some people dont have that enthusiasm huh. I think its just a way of showing gratitude. Im with Ed on this one too, i wanna get my bodyfat % below 10, then focus on muscle shredding. When i look at bruce Lee, i think “little shredded guy looks way better than big pumped marshmallow man!” hehe. I’m 5’7 and 75kg, which is about 150 pounds. small i know, but i know i would look weird being this beefy nugget. I always wanted to look and feel crazy strong without the buff size. Thanks for everything. More people should comment on your blogs since ur fan-base is growing by the day, :P

kareem

Hey John,

Thanks!

Yeah, I’d love to help you get there… let’s do it!

As for the others… people are busy, I get that. I guess a lot of them don’t realize that I’m going to personally coach those who comment. Seems like a good use of time when you think about it that way. Helps our blog get seen by more people, so I see it as a win-win.
:-)

Craig

What can i use for the medicine ball workouts if i don’t have a medicine ball?

Fay

I use a basketball instead of a medicine ball.

Fay

I’d like to see playground workouts. I don’t enjoy machine workouts in a gym, I don’t like going to a gym (loud music, people talking, not fresh air… etc.), and I don’t like the dependancy on expensive equipment.

Fay

By the way, what is your opinion of TRX?

Rolonde

Thanks 4 the video,to be honest i\\\’d become cynical & had just been deleting a lot of ur & vinces stuff believing it to be a sales ploy! Thankfully i\\\’d come to use college computers n theyve blocked f/book so rather than numb my head with repetetive games i decided to have a better look. Iwatched the blog of you on ur dog walkin field n ur passion and enthusiasm & description of vinces has got me back in the open minded zone i need to remain teachable, thanx

Mark

Damn, DR K, I never heard a eulogy at a funeral that good. Maybe you have another calling as well :)

Will i understand why you think so? One of the main reasons why i like this issue is because i studied on this playground and i have a level on this subject. But I recommend to my friends to examine this page of yours and give some thought about it.

Hmm is anyone else encountering problems with the pictures on this blog loading? I’m trying to find out if its a problem on my end or if it’s the blog. Any feed-back would be greatly appreciated.
